A very delicate watercolour portrait of a woman wearing a black lace shawl. Her hair and appearance are typical of an Edwardian lady. Well presented in a gilt effect frame with gilt slip. A handwritten label fixed to the reverse gives the artist's name and title of the painting. On paper laid to canvas.
