G.*.*. Gowan - Miniature Original 19th Century Charcoal Drawing. Detailed inscription in pen and ink on verso. Appears to be a quote from 'The Pirate' by Walter Scott. From an album of drawings and watercolours belonging to Mary Emily Heathcote, dated 1851. Signed and inscribed. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Remnants of paper on verso partially obscuring parts of the inscription.Size
