Description

An atmospheric and highly textured winter scene with a lake and a pair of distant figures, by the artist G. Bauer. The artist has employed impasto to recreate a sense of harshness in the landscape. Presented in a painted gilt effect wooden frame, with velvet slip, as shown. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

In fine condition overall. Some discolouration to the slip. Scuffing to the corners of the frame, and some minor marks.
