This captivating landscape painting depicts a rural scene with a charming red-tiled cottage nestled among lush greenery. A winding dirt path meanders through verdant fields toward the dwelling, while in the foreground, a couple tend to a newly dug allotment patch. The work is beautifully presented in an attractive gilt-effect frame. Signed 'F. Vezin' in the lower right and dated 1891. On Canvas on stretchers.Condition
The painting is in excellent condition with no signs of restoration. Some light wear noted to the gilt effect frame.

Artist Biography
Frederick Vezin (1859-1942), American-German painter and graphic artist. Initially studied at the Classical Institute in Philadelphia and went to Germany in the mid-1870s to study at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1876.
