Frederick John Bartram Hiles (1872–1927) - Original Early 20th Century Watercolour. Mixed media. In solid wood gilt frame. With gilt bordering. Bartram Hiles lost both arms in a road accident during his childhood and learnt to write and draw by holding his utensils in his mouth. He studied at Bristol School of Art and won a scholarship to South Kensington, before studying at the Royal Society of British Art in 1893 and later in the Royal Institute of Paintings in Watercolours and The Royal Academy.
