A charming coastal study by Frederick Golden Short (1863–1936) depicting a rocky inlet. Swirling eddies crash against the rocks, while ships can be seen on the distant horizon. The work is signed and dated to the lower left, and is well presented in a black frame with a gilt slip. On canvas board.
Condition
Slight discolouration and some faint marks and abrasions. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. Scuffs and scratches to the frame. Overall, the artwork is in good condition for its age.
