A late 20th century oil capturing the wonderful coastal scenery of Cornwall. Well presented in a wooden frame with gilt detail. Artist's label on the reverse. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
Overall the condition is good. With minor abrasions and surface marks, noticably to the upper centre of the canvas where a small black mark can be seen. Inspection under UV light shows no sign of restoration.

Artist Biography
Frederick Chaplin Smith was born in 1926 in the Costwolds. He was educated at the Royal West of England College of Art. Smith lived in North Cornwall where he was well known for his paintings in oils of land and seascapes of the area.
