A charming watercolour scene of a farmer walking home after a long day of stacking hay. We can see he is holding his scythe in one hand and a piece of fabric in the other as he walks towards the open gate. Well presented in a mount and gilt frame. On wove.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and scuffs to the frames edges.
