A charming set of twelve miniature scenes in gouache, illustration the months of the year. Each month is a medieval scene showing activities including wine making, ploughing, flower picking, barrel making and many others. Each is masterfully painted in miniature with the corresponding Zodiac sign next to it, picked out in gold. The miniatures have been presented in a gilt frame with dark red mount. There is a label with the artist's name and address and an extensive biography at the reverse. On paper.
