A heartwarming engraved scene showing two women, joyfully visiting a couple and their baby. The scene captures a lot of emotion, pride on the father's face and joy in the two visitor's. This crisp and finely rendered engraving has been inscribed at the bottom of the plate with the title "Der Besuch" or "The Visit" in German. The artist has signed and dated within the plate image. On chine-collé laid to wove.Condition
The print is in remarkably good condition no discolouring. There is some undulation to the wove that the print is laid to and a crease to the lower left corner.
