Description

A very attractive late 19th century watercolour, depicting a distant fox hunt crossing an autumnal riverscape. Painted by the late 19th/early 20th century British watercolourist Frank H Walker, who painted many similar rural autumnal landscapes. This is an excellent example of the artist's oeuvre. Laid to thin backing board. Signed. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is mount burn visible to some edges, but this could be covered with a frame. There appears to be restoration to an old areas of damage in the upper right quadrant, where there are some visible vertical marks.
