A vibrant gouache painting by Frank Booth, depicting a Stanier Class 5 4-6-0, commonly known as the Black Five train. Signed and dated to the lower right-hand corner. There is an artist's label on the reverse. Well-presented in a double washline card mount and in a blue-grey wooden frame. On watercolour paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor surface marks, as well some fallen pigment, otherwise in good condition. Minor surface marks to the mount. Small scuffs to the frame.
