Frank Batson (1858-1931) RA was a painter who lived variously in Hungerford and Penzance before moving to Nottingham. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Nottingham Castle Museum, and his painting of a cricketer is in the collection of Nottingham County Cricket Club. His name is sometimes listed as Bateson and his death occurred in Chilwell, Nottingham.
