Artist Biography
Artist in all media, though mainly in conté and pastel, born in Naples, Italy, who became a British subject in 1935. He was a member of the United Society of Artists, the Society of Graphic Fine Art and Associate of the Society of Equestrian Artists. His outstanding technical ability and classical realist style have granted him much commercial success. Matania's preferred subjects include ballet dancers, life studies and equestrian subjects.
