Francis Wheatley - Original 1790 Watercolour. A very fine watercolour signed and dated lower right. I can't really read the last digit on the date - it's 179?. Signed F. Wheatley delt. Provenance: Swan Gallery, Sherborne. We are not sufficiently familiar with Wheatley's work to guarantee authenticity of this piece but we have no reason to think it is a forgery. The Swan Gallery is a well established and well respected gallery. Not examined out of the frame. In an excellent frame and hand painted mount. In fine condition.
