Description

A graphite and India ink cartoon depicting Henry Campbell-Bannerman MP (1836-1908). He was a Liberal politician and Prime Minister from 1905 to 1908. Presented in a grey mount. Inscribed with the name of the subject to the upper edge beneath the mount along with the caption ''I am a Linen Draper Bold', John Gilpin' and signed to the lower edge beneath the mount. Also signed to the lower-right edge of the drawing. On wove.

Condition

There are some small surface marks and an abrasion to the lower-left corner. There is some discolouration.
