Description
An intricate Victorian needlework sampler by the young Frances Hawkes (Aged 7) displaying the alphabet,roman numerals and a verse, composed in an array of colourful cotton thread. Beautifully presented in an elegant wood veneer frame. Glazed. On linen.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Signs of wear and tear to the veneer frame include, slight splitting at the mitre joints and a few surface marks to the lower member.
