Texture from the Masonite board and loose brushwork capture this vibrant cottage garden full of flowers in bloom. Colourful perennials fill the foreground, framing a glimpse of rural buildings beyond the garden gate. The oil bears the signature 'C. Ginner' to the lower left. However, we do not believe the oil has been painted by Charles Ginner (1878-1952). The painting is stamped 'David William Burley (1901-1990) Studio Collection' verso, possibly the artwork's original creator. Well presented in a painted wooden frame. On board.
