A fine Victorian watercolour of wild primroses, flourishing in a rocky English woodland. The artist has captured each flower with its deep yellow eye and large velvety leaves, buried amongst moss, rocks and other flower heads. The floral study has been beautiful mounted in a stained wooden frame with a gilt inner window. Unsigned. On paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration to the watercolour. There is a small amount of debris caught under the frame's glazing.
