Description

Watercolours and graphite are combined to depict a 19th-century woman fixing her shoe. An inscription on the reverse states that the artwork was created around 1840 in Northern Europe but we believe the piece is more recent. The artwork is unsigned, and well presented in a gilded wood frame with a teal mount. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is light foxing.
