There is craquelure present (mainly to the top half of the picture) and overall yellowing to varnish, typical for an oil painting of this age. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of restoration - there are 5 closed tears to the canvas (as seen on the reverse). There is moulding loss to the top right and bottom left sections of the frame, but this has been painted over in gold. Some losses to edges on frame.
