Charles Edmund Rowbotham (1856-1921) - 1890 Watercolour - Lake District

A delicate watercolour study of a mountain and lake view, most likely the English Lake District by Charles Edmund Rowbotham (1856-1921). Figures can be seen resting on the grass bank in the sun. A goat can be seen behind them, looking out across the water to a fishing boat. Signed to lower right and dated 1890. Presented in a gilt frame with corner mouldings, and white card mount. Glazed. On wove.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are a few small chips to the gilt frame.
