A finely detailed Japanese watercolour, depicting two mythological figures on clouds, elaborately dressed in the typical style. Presented in a simple black frame, as shown. There is a watermark in the paper to the upper edge, from the French paper manufacturer 'Vidalon Les Annonay'. Unsigned and inscribed. On wove.

Condition

In good condition overall, for a picture of this age. Some surface discolouration and light foxing spots to edges. Surface marks and wear to frame.
