Framed Early 20th Century Blue Morpho Wing Red Haired Maiden

Description

Surrounded by flowers a red haired maiden dips her toe into a glowing pool. This unique artwork has been created by utilizing the technique of painting the glass and then layering the wings of a Blue Morpho butterfly underneath. The artwork has a label affixed to its rear stating its authenticity. Well presented in a small black wood frame On Blue Morpho wings laid to a thin paper backing.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. A small area in the centre of the artwork has fallen from the glazing.
