A fine early 19th century, English school watercolours of a Faggot Gatherer, busy gathering tree branches for sale as firewood. The old woman looks tired after a strenuous day's work outer in the countryside. Unsigned. The painting is well presented in a oval windowed wash-line mount and contemporary gilt frame. Glazed. On paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are several small white chalk marks visible towards the upper half of the painting. The frame and mount are in fine condition.
