A wonderful miniature silhouette of an elderly gentleman, dressed in a fine jacket and white cravat. With body colour. Finely presented in an original papier mache frame, with oval window. Inscription to the reverse reads 'Dr Howell, Signed... '. Unsigned. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age, with areas of discolouration and foxing. There is a loss to the upper edge of the frame, as well as small scuffs to the corners of the frame. Minor scratches to the glazing.
