A vibrant perspective study of a venetian canal way with small bridge crossing to the far end of the scene. Colourful balconies line one side of the composition, packed with trailing plants that peep through the railings. The oil has been well presented in an ornate gilt-effect frame with large acanthus ornaments and swept rails. Illegibly signed to the lower left. On canvas on stretchers.

Light wear to the gilt-effect frame. The oil itself is in excellent condition.
