This vibrant still life scene depicts an exuberant bouquet of flowers – possibly chrysanthemums or dahlias – rendered in rich red, yellow, and white tones. The artist employs a dynamic impasto technique with sweeping gestural marks to capture the slender vase and fullness of each flower head. The work is presented in a glazed black frame with a gilt internal slip, and is signed 'Mercedes Parker' to the lower right. Dated '97. On paper.
