Reminiscent of the classical ideals of feminine beauty, particularly during the Victorian period, the artist has created a detailed realist study with an honest sense of character and form.
Well-presented in an oval gilt and composition frame with floral motif mouldings, as shown.
Unsigned.In very good condition overall, especially for a picture of this age. Some small spots of discolouration, mainly to the left side of the portrait. Very minor surface wear and small marks to the frame.
