A delightful 1900 watercolour with body color depicting the Roman ruins of the Claudian Aqueduct in Rome, with an ox cart in the foreground. Presented in a card mount with inner gilt detail and simple black frame. Inscribed to the reverse 'Rome - The Campagna; showing the Alban hills and the Claudian Aqueduct. Given to E.H.H. by a fellow traveller at Rome, April 1900. Framed 1915'. Signed illegibly. On watercolour paper.

In good condition overall, with some patches of discolouration, and light wear to the frame.
