This large acrylic painting depicting a young boy playing the drums by emerging Ghanaian artist, Forest Sakyiamah. Sakyiamah has tastefully combined the use of block colour with bold brush strokes to give an authentic African feel to this striking genre scene. Signed and dated to the lower right-hand corner. The composition is well presented in a matt black wooden frame. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There is some craquelure to the surface of the painting, in particular around the boy's head. Near the edges of the canvas there are a several small losses of acrylic paint, revealing the white canvas beneath. The overall condition of the painting is very good.
