Sold for restoration. A pair of oils depicting rural winter scenes with figures and cottages. Both are presented in black painted wooden frames. Both are signed and dated to the lower-left edge, one dated 1895 and the other dated indistinctly. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There is extensive surface dirt and discolouration to both. There are some surface abrasions, small losses, and stretcher cracks. there are extensive chips and marks to the frames.
