A delightfully endearing 19th century oil depicting a lady in a delicate green and gold dress and her naughty dog, who can be seen leaping onto the furniture. The artist expertly captures a sense of warmth in this charming scene, elegantly portraying the familiar human-canine bond. Unsigned. Condition
There is widespread craquelure to the surface and numerous losses throughout. Areas of unstable paint which will require consolidation. Some wear to the frame, including stable cracking and small losses to the edges.
