A large and bold study of a female figure seated at a table. With textural detail and layers of paint worked into the canvas. Although this work bears the signature of John Piper we do not believe it to be by the artist.
The painting is very well presented in a double card mount and a substantial gilt effect frame.
On Canvas laid to board.Minor scuffs to the corners of the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
