Description
A charming 19th century watercolour depicting a young boy with his shooting rifle and loyal greyhound or whippet beside him. The boy is unbreeched and most likely 6 or 7 years of age, and wears a dress as was common practice in the period. Rendered with delicate brushwork and gentle washes of colour. Unsigned. Beautifully presented behind glass in a substantial wooden frame with a gilt inner edge. On paper.Condition
Light discolouration to the paper. Overall the artwork is in very good condition for its age. Some wear to the frame including scuffs, scratches, indentations and chips. There is a small imperfection to the original glass.
