Overall the condition is very good. There are some minor surface abrasions to the edges of the canvas. Small dent and slight loss of paint to the far left edge. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Florence Eliza Wood was a British artist born in 1878. Wood studied at Clapham School of Art and the Slade School of Art under Walter Sickert and Beatrice Bland. She was known for her landscape and portrait studies. Wood exhibited frequently between 1909 and 1939 including shows at the New English Art Club, Royal Academy, and Walker Art Gallery. She dies in 1958.
