A beautiful early 20th-century still life depicting a vibrant and richly textured bouquet of chrysanthemums in varying hues of cream, orange, and coral, arranged in a dark vase. The full display rests on a red tablecloth, with loose blooms scattered at the base. Presented in an ornate Lely panel frame with floral and acanthus ornamentation. Signed lower right. On canvas.
Condition
Minor marks and abrasions to the surface of the painting. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. Previous moulding repairs noted to the corners of the frame. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
