Condition
The condition is typical for a painting of this age, including some discolouration to the varnish and fine craquelure throughout. There is a light scratch to the lower left. The canvas has been relined. Inspection under UV light reveals small areas of overpainting. Overall the artwork is in good condition for its age. Some wear to the frame including scuffs, chips and stable cracking. The frame has undergone previous restoration work, including a fill to the lower right of the frame.
