A truly wonderful mid-century oil study of three female nudes set against a slightly surreal castle. As the viewer, we gaze out from a shaded corner at the three women bathed in warm sunlight. Similarities can definitely be drawn between this study and the work of Duncan Grant. The oil is finely presented in a ripple effect gilt frame. Signed indistinctly in the lower left corner - possibly reads "F(P)ow***k." On board.
Condition
Overall, the condition is very good. There is a slight warping to the board, some light surface dirt, and very minor marks to the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
