An extremely interesting and rare survival, this small artist's sketchbook dates to 1915-1916 and includes several watercolours, graphite and pen and ink drawings by various hands. Included are a portrait of a soldier, a humorous sketch of an infantryman at the Battle of Mons, 'Charlie Chaplin goes to the Post Office', as well as floral and botanical works. Bound in green embossed leather. Signed and dated and inscribed. On wove.Condition
In good condition. The bindings are loose, with some small losses. Pages are mostly clean with some light discolouration, mainly around the edges.
