Description

A charming French portrait of a well dressed gentleman. He rests one hand around the arm on oak chair as he looks directly towards the viewer. Acquired as part of a pair with the other portrait depicting the man's wife. Presented in a gilt frame. Signed and dated 'Juillet 1846' to the lower right.. On paper laid to canvas.

Condition

There has been a repair to the paper to the lower right. There is wear to the frame giving it a rustic look.
