F. N. Smith - Fine Original 1854 Cut Paper. Signed to the lower right and dated to the lower left. Fixed to backing paper measuring 28 x 21 cm Signed and dated. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration with some surface dirt and small foxing spots. Some creasing to the cut paper, which can be seen in certain lights.

From a portfolio of 19th Century silhouettes. Although these appear to be genuine 19th Century silhouettes, we suspect that some of the dates and signatures may have been added later, and some the signed names may actually be the names of sitters rather than artists.
