Description

A fine early 20th Century charcoal study of a "stiff leaf" architectural element. The artist has achieved excellent contrast between shadow and highlight, giving the sketch much depth and realism. The drawing is unsigned and was acquired in a portfolio with a number of other sketches and watercolours, all signed and by the same hand. On Canson & Montgolfier watermarked laid.
