The painting has been presented in a glazed, dark wood frame with a gold mount. There is an inscription at the back of the frame with the artist name and location of the scene.
On canvas.The painting is in remarkably good condition for its age, there is slight undulation to the canvas as it has been removed from its stretcher. The frame has some scuffs and two small chips, one at the lower edge and one at the lower left edge.
