Excellent Brass Bound Figured Walnut Writing Slope

An excellent brass bound walnut writing slope. Dating from the mid 19th century. With fine figured walnut. The interior is excellent with possibly the original ink bottles. The leather sciver border is original, but the cventre portion has been replaced with felt. Complete with hidden compartment and drawers, all working. Profuse brass banding and corners as shown, with only one spot of damage to the brass. A very fine box. 40 x 25 x 16 cm.
