Eugenio Benvenuti (1881-1959) - Framed Watercolour Evening light in Venice

Description

An accomplished watercolour by the well-listed Italian artist Eugenio Benvenuti. The scene depicts an evening view in Venice, with gondola travelling along the canal. Benvenuti's sensitive depiction of reflective water is typical of his work. The artist has signed the scene to the lower right, and the watercolour has been beautifully presented in a veneer wood frame with gilt decoration. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration to the watercolour. There is a small white mark down the left-hand side of the frame.
