Eugen Spiro - Original Mid 20th Century Lithograph depicting George N. Shuster, he was a specialist in philology and wrote some hundred books in that area. From a collection of lithographs and original artworks by the listed artist Eugen Spiro. Titled partially illegible in the print. On 'Made in France' watermarked paper. Unsigned. Some creasing to corners, otherwise in fine condition.Eugen Spiro (1874-1972) was a German and American painter. He was born to a Jewish family in Breslau. In 1904 Spiro was briefly married to the famous actress Tilla Durieux, who later married the important art dealer Paul Cassirer. His younger sister was the painter Baladine Klossowska. The French painter Balthus is his nephew.Size
