Esther Borough Johnson (1866-1949) - Album European Views and Portraits

Description

A very fine album of approximately 100 drawings, mostly in graphite with some in watercolours, showing European locations such as Pisa, Marseilles, Castillon, Majorca, Polensa, Vallanusa, Honfleurand others, together with figurative studies. Most are inscribed with locations in pencil. Pages measure 48 x 30 cm, drawings are various sizes. Inscribed with artist's name to the front cover, with an label reading 'Esther's Sketches to the front'. Inscribed.

Condition

Condition is typical for pictures of this age including some discolouration and light foxing to some.
