The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some mount burn visible to the edges and foxing spots to the sky area.

Artist Biography
Painter, born at Shardlow, Derbyshire who attended Derby School of Art. He was employed as a designer at the local porcelain works in Derby and also taught at the School of Art there. He is known to have exhibited at the Nottingham Society of Artists whose shows were held in Nottingham Castle Museum.
