English School Original Mid 19th Century Album. A sketchbook containing various landscape drawings in graphite. Album cover measures (12 x 19 cm). Unsigned. On wove. The spine is fragile and the pages have separated from the binding. Condition of the pages is typical for their age with some discolouration and tears where they have separated from the binding.

Collection Information
Taken from an album of accomplished graphite drawings by an unknown artist. Many of the drawings are dated with dates ranging from 1839 to 1863. The earlier drawings seem to be from a tour of northern Europe. Later drawings are primarily sites in England and Scotland. One or two of the drawings span two pages.
